I’m excited to share my latest project: a fully Game Ready Stegosaurus, developed as a complete real-time asset for video games.
This project was conceived as an opportunity to consolidate and refine my creature creation pipeline, applying and improving the workflow I have developed across previous projects. The focus was not only on achieving a solid final result, but on strengthening every stage of the production process, from initial sculpt to in-engine presentation.
The entire creature was sculpted with a strong emphasis on anatomy, volume readability, and believable proportions. From there, I carried out a clean and efficient retopology, followed by a carefully planned UV layout to ensure optimal texture distribution for real-time use.
All maps were baked and textured in Substance Painter, paying special attention to surface variation, wear, and organic micro-detail. The asset was then prepared and optimized to be fully game-ready, reaching approximately 45k triangles, suitable for modern real-time engines.
For the final presentation, I created multiple renders and in-engine shots to showcase the creature in a natural environment, focusing on scale, lighting, and material response to reinforce realism and immersion.
This project allowed me to further strengthen my skills in modeling, sculpting, retopology, texturing, and optimization, while reinforcing a production mindset oriented toward video game development.
As always, feedback is more than welcome.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my work.
